Writer for the Voices Blog
Timothy Caminero
Hey guys! I’m Timothy, I care deeply about how we work to break cycles of trauma within society and climate action. It is my personal belief that we as people hold power and are able to perpetuate systemic change when we collectively take individual stances on the things we care about. No matter how small, we are able to be vocal with our everyday actions to speak louder than what our voices are capable of.

Clare Dueweke
Hi, my name is Clare Dueweke. I am currently a senior at Brownsburg High School with plans to attend Seton Hall University to study Political Science next year. I have always been passionate about both the environment and art. I have been creating pieces for several years now and I always try to make an effort to point out environmental issues through my pieces. I was inspired to make my piece for Mission Makai's environmental advocacy collection of the Justice Gallery after taking an AP Environmental class at my school. In that class, we touched on multiple different topics, but one that was most fascinating and heartbreaking to me was the process of mining gems and minerals in other countries. I created that piece to portray how mining endlessly can give us more wealth, but at the cost of humanity and the environment.
